Some words from Marc on what you can expect from your acupuncture treatment:
Your first acupuncture treatment is about me getting to know you, so that your treatment is exactly right for you. I will need to know your presenting complaints, medical history, any medications and daily activities. I will want to know who you are and what makes you tick. This is followed by an examination of posture, tongue and the radial pulse.
Acupuncture treatments last approx. twenty minutes and you will receive them lying down or sitting. I suggest you wear comfortable clothing. The hair fine acupuncture needle will be inserted into the skin at certain points. Moxibustion (warming needle technique), cupping and massage may be used in combination with the acupuncture needles. Throughout I’ll ensure your comfort and monitor your progress.
Most people have a course of treatments; I usually recommend a minimum of three to five. Weekly treatments will be required at first and after this I suggest follow up preventative treatments to maintain good health.
My approach is to be warm, honest and joyful. You will feel reassured, understood and guided through your treatment. All questions are welcomed.
